A New Perspective On Wedding Night Sex

The wedding bells have rung, the bouquet has been tossed, and the cake was cut. Now what? Every couple has a picture perfect image of what their wedding night is going to be like. The groom is going to whisk the bride away from the reception and carry her across the threshold to a candle lit room with rose petals scattered across the bed and Barry White playing in the background.

But is that really what it's like?
For some, yes, the wedding night is a magical moment that you will always remember. You will be able to fall in love all over again every time you think back to your first night as a married couple. For others however, it doesn't quite go that way. For some couples the night may end in pure exhaustion. This one day may have just taken a year of planning, maybe more. Perhaps it was full of laughing, crying, and the occasional disagreement. Neither party got a good night's sleep the night before due to excitement, nervousness, and anticipation for the big day. Then, you wake up extra early and your adrenaline immediately kicks in. Both the bride and groom have multiple tasks and activities to do before the wedding.

Then finally, you tie the knot; but now, there's a night full of dancing, laughter, and mingling. Once the guests finally go home, there's nothing you would rather do than fall into bed and dream of your future together, not having the famous wedding night sex. That's okay and one scenario.

Others use the "I do" and that special kiss at the end of the ceremony as a symbol to finally relax and let loose. You get to the reception and start to socialize, drink, and dance. As you celebrate, every toast is finished with a sip of champagne, the beers are cold and crisp, and the shots are going down smoothly. As the reception comes to a close you realize you're just a little too drunk to be closing out this joyous occasion with sex. Again, that's another scenario and still okay.

So, how do you still make your wedding night memorable even without the sex? In the end, no one will ever know what you did on your wedding night, that's why it is yours. Do whatever makes the two of you happy. Enjoy your excitement about officially having the rest of your lives together. Focus on the fact that it is your first night in the next chapter of your life -- after all, it's the marriage that's really important, the wedding is just a ceremony and party -- and that for the rest of the chapters you'll have a partner in crime. But no matter what, make your wedding night your own.

If you want the wedding night sex, realize that a little planning is in order. Don't become overwhelmed by the multiple tasks you wake up to the morning of your wedding day. Instead, utilize your wedding party to help you out. If you can afford it, get a wedding planner to take care of those last minute details. Don't worry about the little things, odds are they will fall into place or people won't notice. Plus, they will just stress you out and, in the end, become stressors that you don't need on your special day. Once you're at the reception, try not to become overwhelmed by the amount of guests you think you have to entertain. You don't have to! You may have paid thousands of dollars for a DJ/band, alcohol, a good venue with good food and plenty of dance space. Not to mention the time you spent on configuring a seating chart so that your guests could eat with people they know and like. Let your spent time and money entertain them. On a side note, you should be able to enjoy what your money paid for as well! If you're really worried about seeing all the guests, be sure to visit the elderly guests you may not see on the dance floor; the other guests will most likely make it a point to find you.

Now, the cameras are off, the guests have gone home, and it's just the two of you. There is no need to have to pose or act a certain way. You have no pressure or expectations for what you do on your wedding night, except your own. If you've taken the advice given above and you are energetic and sober enough to enjoy sex, then by all means do it! However, if you do find yourself being tired or too drunk, just be real with one another. Laugh about moments you may have had in your past and imagine what it's going to be like in the future. Share your likes and dislikes with one another, maybe even plan on doing some of those likes the next morning when you're both well rested and sober. In reality, your wedding night is only one night of many thousands. You might have that mind-blowing sex you thought you'd have on your wedding night or you might not. Either way, enjoy the day; but never forget that what's really important is your life together as a couple -- a team -- hopefully for the rest of your lives!

Planning Colors for Your Wedding: Wedding Dresses, Flowers, and More!

Dreaming about your wedding is one thing; planning it is another. From wedding dresses to cakes and tuxedos to flowers - every aspect of your wedding must be carefully planned to "fall in place" on the big day! If you've been to one wedding or several, you probably realize the importance of wedding colors. Everything about the wedding is planned according the colors the bride chooses. So, here's a quick guide to help you plan your wedding colors.

Choose the Right Colors for Your Wedding Dresses

Many brides use their favorite colors for their wedding dresses - pink, red, fuchsia, burgundy, plum, mauve, purple, or blue. But before you choose colors, see if you can't find some photos of various weddings from the past. Look at a variety of color patterns and combinations before making your choice. You might find colors that you like much better than your usual favorites.

Consider how the colors of your wedding dresses will look with other colorful items once it is all put together for the big wedding day. The bridesmaid dresses will be matched with flowers, tuxedos, mother of the bride dresses, flower girl dresses, accessories, and even the reception decor.

Wedding Dresses with a Touch of Color

A growing trend is to add a touch of color to the bride's wedding gown. This is perfect for the bride who wants more than the traditional wedding gown. Some brides have color sprinkled throughout their wedding gown with embroidery. The gorgeous embroidery patterns come to life on the wedding dress when color highlights are added. These are usually available in a variety of colors painted on an ivory white wedding gown.

Test Wedding Color Combinations

Don't be afraid to match unusual colors before making your choice. Some color combinations might surprise you. For example, not many would choose bright peach, bright yellow and white, but these are actually beautiful when coordinated together in wedding flower arrangements with yellow dresses! Try out a variety of combinations to find the right wedding colors for you.

Choose Colors that Complement You

It's your special day. Choose colors that complement your hair and skin tone. You'll want colors that make you look wonderful on your wedding day. If you normally look great in red, then you'll probably look fantastic amidst red decor and red bridesmaid dresses. Maybe you can even add some red embroidery colors to your wedding gown. Whatever color suits you should work fine for the wedding.

Other Considerations

Other things to consider before choosing your wedding colors include the colors of the church or building where the wedding will be held as well as the reception hall, the types of flowers available for that time of year (if using real ones), and the availability of wedding dresses in those colors.

Once you choose colors for your wedding dresses and flowers, you're ready to start planning the wedding. To save time, you can find a wide variety of wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and even prom dresses online. Be sure to choose the colors you love. After all, it is your special day!

Setting a Budget for Wedding Favors

Setting a budget for the wedding favors is a very important part of planning a wedding. Many couples make the mistake of underestimating the cost of the wedding favors and not allotting a part of the budget specifically for this purpose. This can be a problem especially if the couple waits until the last minute to shop for favors or is planning to have a large number of guests at the wedding reception. This article will touch upon the important of setting a budget for wedding favors and will provide some tips for making wedding favors more affordable.

The cost of renting a catering hall and paying for food for your wedding are certainly some of the most expensive items to consider when planning a wedding. Additionally, flowers and transportation can also contribute to the high price of weddings. However, these are not the only factors to consider. The cost of wedding favors should also be carefully considered. This is important because the couple should realize that favors are going to be a cost per guest item. This means the couple will be paying a specific price for each favor and multiplying this price by the number of guests at the wedding. This means even if you select favors which cost $1, you will still wind up paying $500 for wedding favors if you are planning to have a wedding which will include 500 guests. You can see how this price can quickly add up and wreak havoc on a couples budget for a wedding.

So the first thing to consider when setting a budget for wedding favors is how many guests you plan on having at your wedding. This is very important because the price of each individual favor will be multiplied by the number of guests you plan to have at the wedding. This is not to be confused with the number of guests you are inviting to the wedding. For example if you have a rather large extended family with many out of town relatives you may feel obligated to invite all of these relatives even if you are quite sure they will not come to the wedding. If you are fairly sure these guests will not be able to come to your wedding you can make an estimate of the number of guest you are realistically expecting to show up at the wedding.

Once you establish this number you can set a budget in a couple of different ways. One way to do it is to determine an amount you can afford to spend on favors and are willing to spend on favors and then divide this number by the number of guests you are expecting. This will let you know how much you can afford to spend on each favor. It is important to include tax, shipping, gift wrapping and all other incidentals in this per favor price. Another way to set a budget for the favors is to begin searching around for favors and seek out estimates on favors which you find appealing. This will help you determine how much you want to spend on each favor to give your guests a favor you think is appropriate. Once you have this number you can multiply it by the number of guests you plan on having at the reception. If you can afford this amount you can plan on purchasing favors in this price range. However, if the total amount is more than you planned to spend you might have to consider less expensive favors.

If you plan on having a large wedding reception with a number of guests there are ways to make buying wedding favors more affordable. One way to do this is to seek out distributors who offer reduced pricing for bulk orders. Contact the distributor directly to ask about these cost breaks because they may not advertise them directly on their website or in their advertisements.

Kim Kardashian Wedding countdown: A History of Kim's Love Life

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are ready to walk down the aisle. The wedding of the summer is upon us. Yes, Sherri Shepherd and even Joy Behar of "The View" have jumped the broom, and Prince William married Princess Kate in the spring, but they haven't got anything on Kim. (We're not British so we're not mandated to go by the whole Duchess Catherine thing.) The made in reality TV heaven wedding of Kim and Kris is what we've all been waiting for. Forget royal watchers. It's all abut Kimmie watchers.

For any other bride wedding prep is all about flowers and showers but Kim K is no ordinary bride. So how does a reality mega star prep for a wedding? Well, Kim's signature wedding fragrance appropriately called "Love" has sold out. The Vera Wang couture one-of-a-kind wedding gown is ready. KK's new semi-autobiographical novel "Dollhouse" co-written with her sisters is set to launch. We hope that they have taken our wedding music suggestions. And lil sis Kendall Jenner may even have a date arranged by Justin Bieber.

Before we take that leap with our favorite "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star, let's take a look back at the many loves of Kim K.
Kim Kard's Lost Loves: A Kardashian Love Recap
Damon Thomas
We know that you're shrieking, "Who?!" In pre-reality days Kim married Damon when she was only 19. They were married for 4 years although actually together for a much shorter time period. We only know this from Season 1 of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" when Bruce ominously reminded Kim and mom Kris about Kim's mishaps in love.
Ray J Norwood
Brandy's notorious brother Ray J is the lost love who some credit with launching Kim's illustrious career and burgeoning empire. The two made a bestselling celebrity sex tape together that was allegedly leaked. Kim reaped a payoff and they both scored reality shows and everyone went home happy-- "and claiming to be "mortified." Just add momager Kris and spin.
Nick Cannon
Nick Cannon, who never met a famous beauty he didn't date, was looking for love long before he found Mariah. Nick and Kim were quite the item for a hot little minute. Alas it wasn't meant to be. Maybe the famously bootylicious beauty was too young for him. All's well that ends well. Nick's building his own empire with Mariah Carey and their twins.
Paris Hilton
Yeah, we know that Kimalicious never dated Paris. However, at one point they were quite the BFF couple. Everything that Kim did Paris did first. So how did Kim triumph? By sharing more than a catchphrase like, "That's hot." To add to the fun mix Kim has a wacky and equally gorgeous family, all willing to be on TV. What other reality starlet heiress can compete with that?
Reggie Bush
"The Bush and the Tush." We were optimistic enough to think that they would make it. Before she was all set to become a basketball wife The Tush was a football fiance. They didn't make it past go and we saw it all play out in living color. Kim found her prince and Reggie allegedly found... a Kim lookalike ?
Miles Austin
Miles was a brief boyfriend blip on the reality love radar. We blinked and we didn't miss him. The wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys was the old Kris Humphries but it didn't last. This season Kim asked sister Khloe to remove all pics of her old boyfriends from the mantel, to which Khloe replied, "who can keep up?!"
"The Bodyguard"

Shengo was a gorgeous Aussie that Kim's mom flew in to guard her body. We all had slight Whitney Houston - Kevin Kostner flashbacks and it wasn't meat to be. Shengo had to fly back home unexpectedly leaving Kim teary eyed and ready to meet and marry her main squeeze, Kris.
And that's how it all went down.
Okay dolls, Kim and Kris' two-part reality TV wedding special will air on E! Sunday, October 9th at 8 p.m. and Monday, October 10th at 9 p.m. The actual nuptials are Saturday, August 20th. We love love.
Will you be watching the reality TV wedding of the century?

3 Reasons Kim Kardashian's Wedding Deserves Ridicule

Kim Kardashian's wedding is finally over, which is a big relief until you realize that the hype will start all over again when her four-hour wedding special airs inOctober. In the meantime, details about her big day will continue to leak, and there's already plenty to ridicule. Here are some of the reasons that Kim's wedding is one of the worst celebrity ceremonies the world has ever seen:
The Royal Wedding Rip-Offs
Kim's bridesmaids all wore stunning white gowns to her wedding, so it's hard not to think that the reality show star was blatantly copying Kate Middleton's bridal no-no. However, while her sisters all looked amazing, Kendall Jenner definitely played the part of Pippa Middleton -- many brides would kill to get married in the 15-year-old model's mermaid-style Vera Wang gown. And speaking of her royal hotness, Lindsay Lohan showed up to the ceremony wearing the sameTemperley gown Pippa donned for her sister's wedding reception. However, she opted for white over green, which is a good thing -- showing up in the color would have caused quite a scene since Kim told all of her guests to wear only black and white.
Getting Paid to Get Hitched
A woman and man are supposed to start out their new life together going broke by spending everything they've got on their wedding -- it's a true testament of their love, right? However, Kim's big day turned into a big payday -- she's raking in millions through exclusive wedding photos and her E! special, and of course companies have given her plenty of wedding goodies for free just for the publicity. It would be nice for Kim to realize just how atrocious all this opulence is and donate some of the cash to charity, but here's another more likely scenario -- her mother spends next season of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" trying to break up her marriage, opening up the possibility for Kim to have another lucrative wedding in the future.
The Morning After: Kris Humphries Looks Like a Jerk
"Keeping Up With The Kardashians" fans might question Kim's judgment after seeing her hubby's behavior on the episode of the show that aired after their big day. Khloe Kardashian revealed that Humph (we'll call him that to avoid any confusion with Kris Jenner) once asked her if Kim's butt was the real deal. He also annoyed Khloe by asking if her marriage to Lamar was real or just for TV, and criticized Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick for not being affectionate enough. Worst of all, he made Kimmy cry when he threw her into the water during their Bora Bora vacation, making her lose a diamond earring (ladies, let this be a lesson to you -- leave your $75,000 earrings behind when going swimming in the ocean). And next week we learn that Humph had no idea that Kim's been married before (wonder if he knows about the sex tape?).
Of course there's probably so much more about this marriage to be annoyed with, so be sure to voice your own opinion in the comments.

Tara Reid says her Greek wedding wasn't real

Tara Reid can't be trusted!
The "American Pie" actress and notorious party girl, 35, admitted to TMZ photographers on Monday at LAX airport her recent marriage was never real. In August, Reid had a quickie wedding to Bulgarian financier Zack Kehayov in the Greek Isles.

After tweeting about her engagement, hours later Reid tweeted a picture of her all white wedding on the island of Santorini, saying, "Just got married in Greece I love being a wife!"

Since August, Reid frequently tweeted messages of love and posted pictures of her relationship, always referring to Kehayov as her "husband."
But when paparazzi caught up with the actress after her flight yesterday and asked if she and her husband could win the "Newlywed Game," an exhausted looking Reid said they "were never really married" because they never legalized their union in the United States.

The so-called wedding has fueled confusion ever since Reid's initial announcement. Right before her supposed wedding to Kehayov, Reid's reps stated she married Danish businessman Michael Lillelund, who denied the wedding, insisting he hadn't spoken to Reid in months. Reid had two other previous engagements, one with internet entrepreneur Michael Axtmann and TV personality Carson Daly.

Practical Wedding Favors

A considerate bride and groom may want to think about giving out wedding favors which are practical instead of simply easy, inexpensive or suitable for the theme of the wedding. This is important because favors which are given for other reasons may not be valued by your guests. In fact they may be quickly discarded soon after your wedding and will not serve as a reminder of your wedding. However, if you make the decision to give out favors which are more practical in nature your guests are more likely to appreciate and cherish the favors which you give out on your wedding day. These favors may not be the most romantic but they are much more likely to be appreciated by your guests than more whimsical items such as figurines and potpourri. This article will offer a few tips for practical wedding favors you can give to your guests on your wedding day.

Coasters are one idea for wedding favors which can be romantic or suit the theme of your wedding but can also be very practical. You can purchase coasters in a variety of shapes including hearts to provide for your guests as wedding favors. Heart shaped coasters will be ideal because they are romantic and convey the sentiment of love but they are also something your guests can really use. Another option for using coasters as wedding favors is to give out coasters which match the theme of the wedding. For example you can purchase coasters with pictures of sand or the beach to go with a beach themed wedding. You can also give out coasters with room for the guest to insert a picture. You can include a picture of the bride and the groom in one of the coasters and leave the rest of the coasters in the set blank so your guests can use their own photos if they wish.

Key chains are another example of wedding favors which can be both romantic and practical. Hearth shaped key chains or key chains in the shape of wedding bells or other items related to love or wedding are a good idea for favors. You can select an elegant key chain which is sturdy so your guests will want to use but that is also very romantic and will remind your guests of your wedding for years to come.

Another very practical wedding favor idea is a gift of candles. Whether you choose to give tea light candles, taper candles or candles of another style it is very likely that your guests will be able to use these favors. Most people already have at least a few candles in their house but they can always use a few more. Candles are very versatile. They can be used to set a romantic mood but can also serve other purposes as well. For example in the event of power outages, candles can be used to provide lighting. With so many uses for candles it is no surprise that if you give your wedding guests candles as a favor, they are likely to use the candles in the future as opposed to setting them aside and forgetting about them which might happen with other less practical favors.

Wine charms in a shape such as hearts or another romantic theme are also very practical favor ideas for a wedding. Wine charms by themselves are somewhat romantic but when they are designed in shapes such as hearts, wedding bells or other romantic shapes they are very appropriate for a wedding. They are also a very practical favor idea because many people will not have this type of item but can really use a set of wine charms. Wine charms are simply small charms which can be placed on the wine glass to distinguish one glass from another. This is useful in a party situation where guests may be mingling and may set there glass down for a minute or two while chatting and then become confused about which glass is theirs. Charms which distinguish the glasses help to eliminate this problem.

Do You Have To Give Wedding Favors?

The question of whether or not you have to give wedding favors to your guests is a very common one. However, there is no easy answer to this question. While it is true that you technically are not required to give your guests any type of wedding favor at your wedding, it is also true that your guests will likely be expecting to receive a favor. This is what makes the matter more complicated. You may not be obligated to give out wedding favors but your guests may be offended if you decide not to do so. This article will take a look at the question of whether or not you have to give wedding favors to your guests and will provide some tips for giving out wedding favors on even the tightest budget.

As we discussed in the opening paragraph, wedding favors are in no way obligatory but that does not mean that guests still do not expect to receive a wedding favor when they attend a wedding. There are a couple of reasons for this. One of the most obvious reasons why guests expect to receive a wedding favor is that it is such a common practice that the majority of the weddings they have attended in the past have included a wedding favor. The other reason why guests expect to receive a wedding favor is that the purpose of a wedding favor is for the couple to express their gratitude to the guests for attending the wedding and reception. Although the couple will likely still send out thank you cards to all of the guests after the wedding, giving a small wedding favor is another way the couple can thank their guests for their support.

You may wonder why a couple would consider not giving wedding favors at their wedding. In most cases the simple answer to this question is that the couple is on a very tight budget and feels as though purchasing wedding favors for each of the guests will put them over budget. This is a very valid concern as it is important to remember that although wedding favors may be fairly inexpensive, this unit price must be multiplied by the number of guests in attendance. For example you may select a favor which costs only $2 per favor but you may be expecting 400 guests at your wedding. This means the costs of the favors alone will be $800 which may not even include the costs associated with shipping or wrapping the wedding favors. While we certainly understand the importance of budgets we believe the couple should incorporate a budget for wedding favors into their overall budget before the planning begins. This will help to ensure there is enough money available to give each guest a wedding favor as a token of gratitude.

When the couple is concerned about budget it is important to remember that wedding favors do not need to be expensive or extravagant. One simple way to make wedding favors more affordable is to give a wedding favor of a single flower to each guest. If you are already planning to have floral centerpieces you can discuss your options with your florist beforehand. You will likely be able to negotiate and affordable price for this favor because you are already purchasing your centerpieces from the florist. Selecting one flower used in the centerpiece and having your florist supply enough of these to give as favors is a really nice way to tie the centerpieces and the favors together. Alternately you might want to give each of your guests an artificial version of one of the flowers used in your centerpiece. These can be rather inexpensive and can also serve as a lasting reminder of your wedding.

Another way to keep wedding favors more affordable is to discuss your options with wedding favor distributors carefully. Many of them likely have closeout items available as well as discount items. Closeout items are items which have been discontinued but the distributor may have enough in stock for all of the guests at your wedding. Additionally, they may be willing to offer you a discount if you are purchasing a large number of favors.

Delegating the Responsibility of Selecting Wedding Favors

For many couples shopping for and selecting wedding favors can seem like an overwhelming task. There are a number of reasons why couples might feel this way. One of the most significant reasons why a couple may feel overwhelmed about selecting their wedding favors is simply because they have so much to do while planning their wedding. There are a number of important details such as selecting a location, choosing centerpieces, coordinating the catering and other details that couples may simply just have too much to do. For these couples it might be a good idea for the couple to delegate the responsibility of selecting the wedding favors to a trusted friend or family member. Of course this is only a viable option if the couple is willing to allow their friend or family member complete freedom to select the wedding favors. If they are constantly trying to oversee the effort it will cause additional stress. This article will examine the concept of delegating the responsibility of selecting wedding favors to a friend or family member and will offer some advice on how to do this and still ensure you will be thrilled with the wedding favors your guests receive at your wedding.

The most important thing to remember when delegating the responsibility of selecting wedding favors to a friend or family member is that you have to carefully discuss your budget with the friend or family member beforehand. The person responsible for selecting the wedding favors should know exactly how much you can afford to spend on wedding favors so they do not exceed this amount. They should also have a good idea of how much you would like to spend on wedding favors is this number is less than the absolute most you are willing to spend. For example you may have $1000 available to spend on wedding favors but you may prefer to spend only $750 if possible.

Another factor to consider when delegating the responsibility of selecting wedding favors is your own personal taste and preferences. You should discuss your preferences for wedding favors with the person in charge of selecting them beforehand to ensure they will be seeking out wedding favors which you will like. One way to do this is to do a little research before delegating the responsibility. This way you can provide your friend or family member with a few favors which you like as examples of the type of favor you would like to give. This way they will have a good idea of the types of favors you are looking for and will likely select something you will think is appropriate.

Finally, if your friend or family member will not only be selecting the wedding favors for you but also making the purchase, you should make sure they are well aware of how many guests you are expecting and how many favors you would like to purchase. This is very important because it will help to make sure you do not find yourself with too few favors or that your friend or family member doesnt order too many favors. The number of guests will also be important in the process of selecting wedding favors because this relates closely to your budget. However, if you do not want to give your friend or family member this information or are unsure of how many guests to expect you can give them a budget for the costs of each individual favor instead of an overall budget.
